RCB, batting first posted 197/5 in the first innings with the help of another brilliant century from King Kohli. Skipper Faf du Plessis scored 28 runs off 19 balls, while Michael Bracewell and Anuj Rawat also played decent cameos to accelerate RCB's total.

GT chased down 198 runs brilliantly with the help of a 123-run partnership between Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar, despite losing Wriddhiman Saha early in the chase. Shubman Gill played a classical knock to record back-to-back centuries in IPL like his predecessor Virat Kohli. Gill's sensational knock from the other end got supported by Vijay Shankar, who scored fifty from 34 balls.
