Ahead of the IPL 2024, several franchises have been dealt with major injuries like the Gujarat Titans, who will be without star fast bowler Mohammed Shami. Similarly, the Mumbai Indians will reportedly miss the world’s number-one T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav, for the first two games of the season. Hence with this surge in injuries, teams could look at options from the unsold players list at the auction. So with the new season just days away, let’s look at a few Indian players whom franchises can bring as replacements for IPL 2024.
Indian players who can come in for any franchise if anyone gets injured
Sarfaraz Khan
The Indian men’s team’s newest sensation, Sarfaraz Khan, could be in huge demand as an injury replacement ahead of the IPL 2024. Khan first shot up to fandom after scoring loads of runs in the 2014 U-19 World Cup, propelling him to get an IPL contract. Since then, the 26-year-old has played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals while scoring 585 runs in 50 matches, but never reached his full potential. But now, on the back of his international debut, Khan could soon be part of the IPL 2024.
