Delhi Capitals, the runners-up of the Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2020, have announced their retained players list ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Under the leadership of David Warner last season, DC had a torrid time in the tournament, especially in the first half, which was a catalyst for them to finish in ninth place in a 10-team tournament.
After the last season’s IPL auction, Delhi Capitals had a purse of ₹4.45 crore, which is going to get boosted by ₹5 crore, according to the new ruling of the IPL governing council for all the teams. Following the retention of only a few big players from the last season, DC will be utilising big sums of money during the upcoming auction to improve the quality of their squad for the IPL 2024 season.
