With just 11 games remaining in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals are comfortably sitting at the top with 16 points each despite playing a game less than the rest of the franchises. After the Chennai Super Kings lost against the Gujarat Titans on Friday, their chance of qualifying for the IPL 2024 playoffs dropped by 14%.

According to the Cricket.com IPL 2024 playoff analysis, GT have a 0% chance of qualifying despite the win against CSK.  In this article, we will discuss the chances for each team to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoff.

With just 10 days remaining ahead of the IPL 2024 playoff, check the qualification scenario for each team.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals

The KKR and RR are in the top two positions respectively with eight wins in 11 matches in the IPL 2024. Other teams this season have lost at least two more matches than KKR and RR. Kolkata and Rajasthan have 99% chances of making the IPL 2024 playoff.

SunRisers Hyderabad

Pat Cummins-led SunRisers Hyderabad are riding high on the shoulders of their openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. The SRH has already become the team with the most sixes in one season in IPL history as they have struck 146 sixes in 12 matches (CSK 145 in 2018). The SunRisers have a 95% chance to qualify for the playoffs.

Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings are led by Ruturaj Gaikwad after MS Dhoni stepped down from the captaincy this season. After maintaining a 50 per cent win record with six wins in 12 games so far this season, The Super Kings are placed fourth with 12 points. Apart from the above three teams, the Super Kings are the only side with above 50% chance to qualify for the playoffs as they have a 51% chance.

Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants

Rishabh Pant's Delhi Capitals and KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants are tied with 12 points in 12 matches, however, the Capitals are placed fifth while LSG are at the sixth spot. Despite maintaining a better net run rate, the chance for DC to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoff is 19% while the Super Giants have a 20% qualification chance.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru and  Gujarat Titans

Last year's runners-up defeated the defending champions on Friday and moved up to the eighth spot in the IPL 2024 standings levelling RCB with 10 points. However, Bengaluru managed a better net run rate and the Titans' win over the Super Kings increased their qualification chance to 15%. On the other hand, the Titans still have a 0% chance to qualify.

Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings

The Mumbai Indians and the Punjab Kings are having the most disappointing IPL 2024 as they are the two bottom-placed sides with eight points in 12 matches. With just two games remaining for both sides in the IPL 2024, they have a 0% chance of making it to the playoffs.
