Rajasthan Royals captain  Sanju Samson expressed that he wasn't extremely thrilled with his team's win as he described their position on the table as shocking. The 2008 Champions pulled off a thrilling win as they were chasing a tricky 188-run total against the Kings but failed to finish off the game as stipulated to improve their net run rate.

Talking about the playoff race, Rajasthan needed to win the game in 18.5 overs in order for their net run rate to jump over the Royal Challengers Bangalore. But as the match ended on the last ball, the Royals failed to do so. Hence now they have no control over their chances to grab one of the top-four spots.

Hence talking during the post-match press conference, Sanju Samson was slightly disappointed with this team's performance and described their place on the table as shocking. He also spoke about how the team had a chance when Shimron Hetmyer was batting incredibly well. Further Samson also praised RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal  for a stunning half-century.

"I think at the end of the game, when Hety was going strong we thought we will finish by 18.5. We have a quality team and it is a little shocking to see where we stand on the table. I have been talking about Jaiswal almost every game. He has shown maturity. It feels he has played 100 T20Is. Almost 90 per cent of the times we feel Boult will take a wicket in the first over. We were under pressure in the last few games."
