Former England international, David Beckham has once again made a public statement about the takeover of his boyhood club, Manchester United in a recent interview. Beckham grew into a footballing legend at Old Trafford as he won many Premier League titles and the Champions League.

The Englishman stressed the requirement of a change in ownership at Man United during the recent Qatar Grand Prix.  Now, during an interview,  David Beckham reiterated his hope for the club and talked about how  Manchester United need to regain the trust of the fans after the instability caused by outside issues.

While speaking to CNBC,  David Beckham said,  "Manchester United will always be Manchester United. It will always be one of the biggest clubs in the world.  Now we need to get back to that for the fans, for the players, the coaching staff, the manager. At the moment, there is no stability and we need to get the talk to [being about] on the field, rather than off the field.”

Further in the interview, the Inter Miami CF co-owner, expressed how despite on-field success, Manchester United needs a shake-up at the top and bring back the club at the top of the footballing world.

He added: “I want to see an ownership group take over who will actually take the club back to what it should be. I’m not saying the past owners have done a bad job because we’ve still been very successful on the field. For me, it’s the right time for somebody else to take over.”
