West Ham's Jesse Lingard is on a sensational run of form in the Premier League since joining the Hammers on loan from Manchester United in January. The 28-year-old has already registered six goals in eight games for his new club and was once again at his absolute best against Wolves on Monday.

'Goal of the season' in Premier League?

The match between West Ham and Wolves turned out to be an epic thriller with the Hammers securing a hard-fought 3-2 win. While there were some amazing performances by various players, Jesse Lingard once again stole the show with his heroic display. The midfielder ran 60 yards from his own half and scored one of the goals of the season to open the scoring on a thrilling evening at Molineux stadium.

Lingard credits his new teammates for career-turnaround

The 28-year-old midfielder played a crucial part in the second goal and provided an assist for the third goal, taking his impressive tally of goal contributions to 10 for West Ham. Lingard was absolutely delighted with his performance against Wolves and spoke about his career turnaround since joining the new club. In the post-match conference he said, "Keeping up this form is great but as I said earlier, the team (West Ham) have helped me tremendously."

West Ham are currently placed 4th in the Premier League and are in an exciting fight with big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham to clinch that 'Champions League' spot. Jesse Lingard is certainly going to be a vital cog for the Hammers as they enter the business end of the 2020-21 season. Apart from helping his new team achieve history, the 28-year-old will also want to prove a point to Manchester United that he is ready to play for the Red Devils next season.
