John Cena, WWE superstar turned Hollywood actor, is a household name in the world of sports and entertainment, and his iconic ‘You Can’t See Me’ catch-phrase, wherein he waves his hand in front of his face, has turned into a meme over the years. Recently, after former Indian captain Virat Kohli imitated the ‘You Can’t See Me’ catch-phrase in a video posted by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on their official X account, John Cena shared a screenshot of it on his official X account, acknowledging the famous cricketer.
Notably, John Cena is currently in the midst of his retirement tour in WWE, with his last official match in the promotion set to happen before the conclusion of 2025. With that, the fans expected him to continue being the hero to the kids, continue on his long-standing career trajectory, but it all changed at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on March 1, as he brutally destroyed Cody Rhodes after catching him off guard with a low blow, and it turned out to be one of the most shocking moments in company history.
With that, John Cena turned his back on his fans, calling them names in the build-up to the WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night 2 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 20. Despite that, Virat Kohli, who is currently playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for RCB, did the ‘You Can’t See Me’ catch-phrase in a clip sent out by the franchise on X.

In response, John Cena took to his official Instagram account, to post the screenshot of Virat Kohli doing his famous catch-phrase, which is now a meme as well, gaining mainstream attention. The fans and even the WWE commentators have jokingly stated that John Cena is invisible since he does the ‘You Can’t See Me’ on every one of his WWE appearances for the better part of the last 20 years or so.
Moreover, John Cena is currently odds on favourite to win the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, which would be the record-setting 17th championship reign for him in the promotion.
