Spain defeated France on Sunday night to win the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 title and extended their championships tally to four titles. Spain forward and 'Hustle' star Juancho 'Bo Cruz' Hernangomez scored 27 points and beat France's Evan Fournier (23) to become top scorer in the finals.

Apart from Juancho, Willy Hernangomez (14), Lorenzo Brown (14), and  Jaime Fernandez (13) also contributed in Spain's fourth FIBA EuroBasket victory. Spain claimed the EuroBasket gold medal after 88-76 victory over France in the finals in Berlin.  Willy Hernangomez was named the MVP of the tournament with average 17.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

While for France, New York Knicks' Fournier, Thomas Heurtel (16) and  Guerschon Yabusele (13) displayed a brilliant game but couldn't withstand the challenge offered by the Spanish ballers. France star Rudy Gobert, who plays for NBA franchise Minnesota Timberwolves, failed to make a mark in the match after scoring just six points in over 27 minutes of his game-time.

Spain maintained their domination over France throughout the game as they managed an early lead of nine points at the end of the first quarter. Spain star  Juancho Hernangomez displayed an iconic performance as the 26-year-old forward made seven 3-pointers from nine attempts maintaining an 81.8 field goal percentage.

Meanwhile, Germany beat Poland 82-69 to clinch the bronze medal in the FIBA EuroBasket 2022.
