Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid and England midfielder, is reportedly set to miss at least the first six weeks of action at the start of the next season due to impending shoulder surgery. The 21-year-old is expected to undergo an operation on his left shoulder after playing the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 for Real Madrid next month, to get rid of persistent problems with it since the year 2023.
Notably, as per the report published in BBC Sport, Jude Bellingham has scheduled an operation on his shoulder following the conclusion of the Club World Cup, with its final set to happen on 13 July in the United States of America. The shoulder injury was sustained at the end of 2023 while he played for Real Madrid versus Rayo Vallecano, which initially led to him missing two matches for his club and country.

Since then, often times Jude Bellingham has competed on the football pitch with strapping on his shoulder, going through pain for the love of the game. It is now understood that he will miss out on the entire pre-season apart from the first six weeks of action at least for Real Madrid, which is also going to translate in regard to playing in the World Cup qualifiers for England against Andorra and Serbia this September.
Thomas Tuchel, the new England manager, is set to name the England’s squad for a friendly against Senegal apart from the World Cup qualifiers match versus Andorra. But, with the potential involvement of Jude Bellingham in the FIFA Club World Cup 2026, there is an expectation that he might not be selected in the national team for their upcoming matches in June.

He has already won the La Liga and UEFA Champions League (UCL) titles in the first couple of seasons for Real Madrid despite a tough campaign this time around.
