The American professional wrestler, Karrion Kross, confirmed his exit from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on Sunday, August 10, alongside wife Scarlett Bordeaux after their current contracts with them expired. Kross and Bordeaux have also been moved to the alumni section on the WWE website, while the reports indicate their removal from the company’s internal roster as well, which means that their exit is indeed real.
After the information of Karrion Kross and his wife Scarlett Bordeaux’s departure from WWE became a foregone conclusion with their contracts not expected to be removed, the fans on X went into uproar in unison, trending “We Want Kross” No.1 in the USA. Such outpouring of support from fans for a WWE superstars on their exit isn’t new but rare, and the last time, it brought the veteran R-Truth back into the company against all odds in June.
It was earlier this August when Karrion Kross last wrestled for WWE at SummerSlam in a losing effort against Sami Zayn at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which ended their longstanding feud. After the completion of the match, Kross and Bordeaux took a moment inside the ring to appreciate the support for them despite being heels, which was a big hint towards their departure from WWE, and it indeed was the case.
I’ve never had a single conversation about contract negotiations until recently: Karrion Kross
Last evening, Karrion Kross took to his official X account, to share a link of his YouTube live stream, where he promised to address his exit from WWE alongside wife Scarlett Bordeaux. Over there, Kross started by talking about how he expressed his willingness to negotiate a new contract with WWE in early January this year, but nothing came out of it, which made him frustrated for quite some time.
He was quoted as saying, as per Yahoo Sports, “I’ve never had a single conversation about it (contract negotiations) until recently, and I don’t even feel like the conversation I had recently was an actual serious one, but I … the conversation made me really angry, because I didn’t think it was a real conversation. Someone contacted me and we had briefly discussed it. It was a very short conversation, and there wasn’t anything discussed of real substance, and that really, really, really … actually, it didn’t make me angry or upset, it just profoundly disappointed me.”
