West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who played for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has announced retirement from the Indian T20 league ahead of the sixteenth edition. Pollard announced his decision not to play in the IPL any further through a note on social media. The MI all-rounder said that he made the decision after holding a talk with the franchise.

“It hasn’t been the easiest of decision to make as I intend to keep playing for a few more years, but following discussions with Mumbai Indians, I have decided to call time on my IPL career,” wrote Pollard in his note. Notably, the West Indies all-rounder played 189 matches in IPL wherein he amassed over 3000 runs and took 69 wickets.
