However, the Ajinkya Rahane-led side will be hoping to continue their winning momentum, seeing the battle for the top four get intense, CSK will be playing for pride as they have already been eliminated from the tournament.

Ahead of KKR’s match against CSK, the three-time champions confirmed that they will be donning a special jersey as part of their Shahoshi Rani initiative. Speaking of the initiative, it honours women who have shown exceptional bravery, resilence and determination in the face of adversity, thus celebrating the everyday heroes.

Furthermore, as part of the initiative, 40 Shahoshi Ranis will be present at the KKR practice session, as an opportunity to watch the players from the close quarters. Moreover, the players of the franchise will provide respect as they wear jerseys, carrying logo of Shahoshi Rani on their back. Additionally, each player and member of the support staff will have a name of a Shahoshi Rani under their logo, thus inspiring the women.

Speaking of the same, KKR co-owner Juhi Chawla said, “Shahoshi Rani is more than just a campaign, it’s a celebration of real courage. These women are an inspiration, and we are honored to share our platform with them. We hope their stories move others as much as they’ve moved us.”

Taking a look at KKR’s campaign in IPL 2025, the defending champions have had a topsy-turvy season and are still in contention of making the playoffs. A win in their remaining three matches will guarantee them a place in the playoffs whereas even a defeat could hamper their chances and eliminate them from the title race.
