Prolific Indian batter KL Rahul and Bollywood actress A t hiya Shetty got married on Monday in a private ceremony at Sunil Shetty's mansion in Khandala. The newlywed couple posted special pictures from the wedding on Instagram.

The intimate wedding ceremony saw only the couple's close friends and family members in attendance. The couple decided for a low-key and private wedding ceremony and guests had to follow a strict no-phone policy.
According to reports, the shubh muhurat for Athiya and KL Rahul's wedding was set for 4:30 PM. The married was completed in a traditional manner in Mangalorean style. Reportedly, Indian cricketers Ishant Sharma and Varun Aaron were in attendance. After the wedding, Sunil Shetty and his son Ahan Shetty greeted the media stationed outside the venue and distributed sweets.
The veteran Bollywood actor and Athiya's father told media that he would like to be father of Rahul and not a father-in-law. "Bahut acha raha aur abhi phere bhi ho gaye, shaadi officially ho chuki hain, aur officially father-in-law bhi ban chuka hoon!" Mr. Shetty said. He also confirmed that couple will throw a grand reception post-IPL 2023.
