One of the most anticipated celebrity weddings is just days away as Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty are set to get married. The wedding ceremony will take place between January 21 to 23. The marriage is arranged to be a private affair, but the pair are set to host extravagant reception for Bollywood celebrities and cricketers in April 2023.
The big event is set to take place during IPL 2023 season. Further reports suggest that Sunil Shetty and Mana are set to invite their Bollywood friends and business colleagues. The wedding will take place in Lonavala at Sunil and Mana Shetty’s bungalow called Jashan. Reports also added that the preparations are going in full flow as the mansion is getting ready for the intimate wedding.
Back in October 2022, Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty confirmed the wedding news while interacting with the media and said, ‘Jaldi Hogi’. Reportedly, the pair will be having a very fancy big-fat South Indian wedding. The event will include all the festivities like Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeet.
Athiya and KL Rahul made their relationship official at the screening of her brother Ahan Shetty’s debut film ‘Tadap’. She made her Bollywood debut with ‘Hero’ alongside Sooraj Pancholi in 2015. Her last appearance on the silver screen was in the romantic film ‘Motichoor Chaknachor’ in 2019 starring next to Rajkummar Rao and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Talking about KL Rahul, the wicketkeeper-batter has been an integral part of the national set up and had taken a leave from the Indian team because of the wedding.
