Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) climbed to the top of the IPL 2025 points table after a convincing six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 27 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi Capitals, after being put in to bat, managed 162/8 in their 20 overs. KL Rahul was the top scorer for DC, grinding out 41 runs off 39 balls, while Tristan Stubbs added late fireworks with a quick 29 off 14. However, RCB’s bowling attack, led by the experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar who picked up 3 wickets, ensured DC never really broke free to set a bigger target.
In response, RCB’s innings was anchored by a composed knock from Krunal Pandya, who scored a crucial 73 runs off 57 balls. Virat Kohli, maintaining his rich vein of form, supported him well with a steady 51 off 47 balls. Despite losing a few early wickets, RCB managed to keep the required run rate in check. The finishing touch was provided by Tim David, who sealed the win with a boundary in the 19th over, ensuring RCB crossed the finish line comfortably at 165/4.
