One of the most controversial incidents that sports fans witnessed in 2023 has to be the fight between former India opener Gautam Gambhir and India batter Virat Kohli. The icons of Indian cricket engaged in a heated verbal altercation during a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2023. While it's been more than six months since the fight, the incident is still fresh in the memories of fans and cricket lovers. However, recently, former India opener and mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants, Gautam Gambhir made a heartwarming comment on his fight with Kohli.

Gambhir replied to a query related to Kohli interestingly and the video has gone viral all-over social media within no time. While replying to a question regarding the former India skipper’s 50th ODI ton, Gambhir said that his fight with Kohli is restricted only to the field. In a video on Star Sports, the former cricketer was asked against which bowler did Kohli brought up his 50th ODI hundred during the ODI World Cup 2023.

Gambhir replied, “Lockie Ferguson.” The 2011 World Cup winner went on to say, “Ye aap baar baar dikhana, mujhe sab kuch yaad rehta hai. Ladai meri sirf on the field hai (Please show this clip again and again, I remember everything. My fight is only on the field)". Notably, the 35-year-old Delhi-born cricketer recorded his 50th ODI ton against New Zealand during the CWC’23 semifinal.

The batter scored 117 off 113 balls as the Men in Blue put up 397/4 and then successfully restricted the Kiwis to 327 to advance to the finale of the ICC spectacle. Unfortunately, India lost the final clash of the tournament and Australia were crowned the world champions for a record sixth time.
