As the entire globe recently celebrated International Women's Day to acknowledge the contributions of ladies in various sectors of society, cricket was one of the areas which many people talked about. Coincidentally, the Women's ODI World Cup 2022 is also going on in New Zealand which has highlighted some brilliant moments produced by female players both on and off the field.
From Indian players playing with the daughter of Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof to Deandra Dottin showing outrageous reflexes to grab one of the best ever catches in cricket history, fans have been left in awe of what the women players have been doing.
Vo stree hai, kuch bhi kar sati hai - Hence proved!
Just in case all these events were not enough to catch everyone's attention, some of the recent images going viral on social media from Norway certainly prove the famous dialogue: Vo stree hai, kuch bhi kar sati hai (A woman can do anything).
On Friday, ICC Europe shared pictures of ladies playing cricket while wearing traditional clothes in snowy Norway conditions. This is not a combination one usually comes across, which is what made it so unique and special. The weather in the country is around 2-3°C these days and #snowproblem was probably the perfect way to describe the incredible photos.
The women in the images are members of Vestli Cricket Club, based in Norway. The cricket fans were absolutely left in awe, with the images now surfacing all over the internet.
