India’s Javelin superstar Neeraj Chopra will return to action after the Silver-medal run in the Paris Olympics 2024. In the Tokyo Olympics 2020, the Indian Army Subedar won the Gold medal, India’s first in Track and Field. While defending his title, the 26-year-old reached the final and lost to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, first individual gold medalist for the South Asian country. 

In the final of the Olympics Track and Field event, Chopra managed to cover the distance of 89.45 while Nadeem reached 92 meters. The latter, who earned a lot of praise in his nation, has decided to skip the event. The other players, who finished in the top six will participate in the event. They are - Anderson Peters (Bronze medalist), Jakub Vadlejch, Julian Weber, and Neeraj Chopra. 

Notably, the World Champion is slotted in fourth place. He needs to finish in the top six in Lausanne to compete in the finals, which will be played in Brussels.

Chopra’s event will start at 8:42 PM local time on August 23 (12:12 in India at the midnight of August 24). Lausanne is situated in Switzerland.
