LCS 2023
League of
Legends Championship Series (LLC) is expected to see major
challenges in the 2023 edition. In his blog post, Americas head of esports for
League of Legends, Raul Fernandez detailed all the changes, which are expected
in the forthcoming edition.
One of the
biggest challenges for the players, teams, broadcast members, and fans would
be the shifting of broadcast days from Thursday and Friday. The matches will now be
played on Wednesdays during the super weeks. Further, LCS Arena has also been named
Riot Games Arena .
Fernandez reckoned
that they have worked on the feedback received from the last edition. He added
that they want to have a proper intersection of competition and culture. It will be
the first split of the eleventh year of North America's professional League of
Legends league.
"The [LCS] broadcast will continue to build on the positive
feedback we received to changes over the summer and expand further. Expect even
more eclectic content and conversations from our charismatic talent as we
create a broadcast experience placed squarely at the intersection of
competition and culture."
