The 21-year-old left-back looks all set to join Liverpool in a deal worth £40 million, as per reports. The Hungarian international has reportedly arrived in the UK on Monday and is all set to undergo medical tests on Tuesday at Merseyside. After having a very successful campaign with Bournemouth, Kerkez is all set to begin a new chapter with The Reds.

Liverpool having won the Premier League last season are now in pursuit of adding increased squad depth to their team. Arne Slot wants to see his team fairing the best in Europe after seeing a dramatic exit from the Champions League after getting defeated by PSG last season, who later went on to lift the trophy.

Liverpool building a team for the future

If reports are to be believed, Kerkez is set to sign a five-year deal with The Reds, which will mark their fourth transfer in this window. This move will see Liverpool adding significant depth to the defence line which will help them defend their title next season.

Liverpool are one of those teams who have already started the transfer window on a high note and have managed to make some signings which have already added a lot of value to their squad. Following the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, Liverpool signed the Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. Liverpool also made a record signing of Florian Wirtz, who will become the most expensive German player to ever play in the Premier League.

Andy Robertson is also expected to leave the club as he is linked with Atletico Madrid, which will mean that Milos Kerkez will probably start in the playing 11 next season. He will join his international team-mate Dominik Szoboslai in Liverpool, after having two successful Premier League campaigns with the cherries.
