On Monday, February 5, India registered a 106-run victory in the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam to level the five-match series at 1-1. Moments after the win, the fans on X celebrated the success of the Indian cricket team, which was built on the back of impressive performances from the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Yashasvi Jaiswal in particular.

At the start of play on Day 4 at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, England started their second innings on 67/1, needing a further 332 runs to win the Test. The first session was a thrilling spectacle wherein the England batters scored more than 120 runs, but the Indian bowlers found a way to pick five crucial top order wickets to gain firm grip on the contest.
The run out of the England captain Ben Stokes for 11 in the second session of Day 4 put the visitors in dire situation, and despite the 55-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Ben Foakes and Tom Hartley, they got bundled out for a 292-run total. The experienced duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin picked up three wickets each in the second innings to secure an important Test win for India.

In the post-match presentation, Jasprit Bumrah was adjudicated as the Player of the Match for picking up nine wickets in the Test against England. Some of the other top performances for India involved a double hundred from Yashasvi Jaiswal and a hundred from Shubman Gill.
