Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have announced a ticket-refund process following the suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Lucknow were all geared up to play a home game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on May 9, while Sunrisers were set to host defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 10, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. However, things couldn’t go as planned and the marquee T20 competition got suspended due to the India-Pakistan conflict. However, following the latest development, LSG and SRH announced the ticket-refund process through their X handles.

"In light of the current situation, #TATAIPL2025 has been suspended with immediate effect. Ticket refund details will be communicated shortly," wrote SRH through their X handle. Talking about LSG, they also made the announcement on social media. "Tonight's match at BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium has been cancelled. Details regarding ticket refunds will follow," read LSG’s X post. Following both teams, other franchises are also expected to initiate the refund process as soon as possible.

Players and spectators evacuated successfully on May 8 from Dharamshala

Earlier, during the match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Dharamsala Stadium on May 8, it was announced that the game couldn't be continued due to the floodlight issue. Following this announcement, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal was seen requesting spectators to leave the stadium. Fans and players were evacuated successfully eventually from the venue but the incident is still getting discussed.

After IPL 2025 suspension, Dhumal revealed that the decision regarding restarting the T20 event will be taken after evaluating the circumstances. "The tournament has been suspended for a week. The next decision will be taken after assessing the situation," remarked Dhumal to ANI.
