The Lucknow Super Giants have been one of the most dominant teams in the Indian Premier League. They are currently second on the table with 14 points from 10 games and have surprised everyone in their maiden IPL season. After defeating the Delhi Capitals in a thrilling game, Lucknow would want to continue their winning form as they take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in Pune.

Hence, just like the Delhi game, the Super Giants have planned a special jersey for their players when they face the two-time champions. The LSG Instagram account recently posted a video revealing that the team will don a special jersey against KKR.

The video was captioned, “There’s something special in store for your favourite #SuperGiants?Stay tuned to know more!?.” These new jerseys will feature the name of every player's mother on the eve of Mother's Day which is celebrated around the world on 8 May. A similar gesture was done by the Indian men's cricket team in October 2016 playing against New Zealand in Visakhapatnam.

The Lucknow Super Giants enter this matchup after a stellar performance against the Delhi Capitals which was led by an unlikely hero. Mohsin Khan, a young 23-year-old left-arm pacer who ran through the Capitals' batting and picked up four wickets. Khan was given the Player of the Match award as he had a spell of four wickets while giving away just 16 runs.

While talking about his performance in the post-match interview, Khan said, “I am so happy today. My mom and dad would be seeing it on TV. I enjoyed Pant's wicket the most. Because I set him up by bowling back of a length. Rahul bhai told me to bowl a really full ball he won't be expecting and I did what he said and got the wicket. I just want to continue doing what I am doing - be it back of a length, slower balls etc”

“I just want to execute what I practice in the nets. I don't think too much. Everyone back home, mom, dad, friends would have been happy seeing me perform”, he added.
