July 26 marks a special day in India’s history as the country comes together to celebrate the victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999. The day honours the valiant sacrifices made by Indian soldiers through the intense war. Today in 2023, Indians all around the celebrate the 24th anniversary of the Kargil War.

Celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi his heartfelt tributes to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the 1999 Kargil war and posted that these soldiers will "always remain an inspiration for the countrymen. "I bow down and salute him from the bottom of my heart," he added. Similarly, Commemorating this momentous occasion, several Indian athletes took to social media and offered their wishes to the Indian army and their efforts.
