T he inaugural season of the Madhya Pradesh League T20 is set to kick off on June 15 and will conclude on June 23. The T20 tournament featuring the best cricketing talent from across the state will take place in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. It will be oragnised by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) along with the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), where a total of five teams will compete for the esteemed Scindia Cup.
The MP League T20 is the state’s only official franchise-based cricket league approved by MPCA and BCCI. The teams that will participate in the forthcoming tournament are Bhopal Leopards, Gwalior Cheetahs, Jabalpur Lions, Malwa Panthers and Rewa Jaguars. All the matches of the league will be played at Gwalior’s newly built international stadium.
Mohammad Arshad Khan (Bhopal Leopards), Venkatesh Iyer (Gwalior Cheetahs), Saransh Jain (Jabalpur Lions), Rajat Patidar (Malwa Panthers) and Kuldeep Sen (Rea Jaguars) were announced icons of the five franchises. The squads for each team are given below:
