Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Germany and Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah in the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old is currently in the final year of his contract with the current Bundesliga champions, and he is planning to leave them as a free agent in the summer after playing more than fifty matches for his club and country this season.

As per the report published by Sky Sports, apart from Manchester United, the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are keen on making a move for Jonathan Tah. While the Red Devils will be looking to push ahead in the Premier League next season with a defensive signing like Jonathan Tah, the German could be headed to Real Madrid if his current Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso replaces Carlo Ancelotti in the role at the Galacticos in the summer transfer window.

Jonathan Tah confirmed his exit plan from Bayer Leverkusen last month

If Jonathan Tah wants to keep playing in the Bundesliga, then Bayern Munich will be the perfect choice for him, while the chances of Barcelona bringing him in the summer are least likely due to their financial constraints in regards to registering the players. Moreover, just a couple of weeks ago, he stated that he is willing to leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season after his contract runs out.

Jonathan Tah was quoted as saying, as per Sky Sports, after Bayer Leverkusen’s 1-1 draw at FC St Pauli on April 20, “To be honest, I don't have a timeframe. But the club knows about it. And it's been the same as it has been all along.” Moreover, Bayern Munich had attempted to sign the German last summer, but since the deal didn’t go through last summer, the Bavarians might want to bring him in this summer.
