Manchester United are reportedly interested in selling Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund in the upcoming summer transfer window for €60 million since he has been a letdown for them in the ongoing 2024-25 season. It is understood that Juventus might be looking to sign the 22-year-old in the summer since he has ample experience of playing and doing well in the Serie A at Atalanta in his young career, which allowed him to become a part of the English giants two summers ago.
Notably, in the current season, Rasmus Hojlund has made 42 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, scoring just eight goals and providing four assists, which are far from ideal stats for a first-choice striker of a club as big as the 13-time Premier League champions. These numbers are a stark contrast to his debut season at the club wherein he got 16 goals and provided two assists in 43 matches across all competitions.
Manchester United interested in raising funds to sign either Viktor Gyokeres or Victor Osimhen
As per the report published in the Italian sports website Tuttomercatoweb, while Manchester United are looking to offload Rasmus Hojlund, there hasn’t been any contact from their side with Juventus regarding a potential move yet. Furthermore, since Manchester United are not looking to loan out the Danish striker, Juventus will have to shell out a big amount to sign him.
The Old Trafford based club have their eyes set on signing either Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon or Victor Osimhen from Napoli, but for that to happen, they need to raise funds, which can happen with a big money sale of Rasmus Hojlund. Furthermore, apart from Juventus, the likes of Napoli are also looking to sign the Dane, to have him compete with Romelu Lukaku for a place in the playing XI.
