Rasmus Hojlund, the Manchester United striker, has had a torrid 2024-25 season for the club in all competitions, not being able to perform anywhere close to his best from last season. During the final of the UEFA Europa League (UEL) against Tottenham Hotspur, which Manchester United lost 1-0 at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao, the hold-up play of the Danish international was far from good, and it was reportedly the last straw for the management in regard to his future at the club.

As per the report from GiVEMESPORT, the sources have indicated that Manchester United are willing to offload Rasmus Hojlund after they are slated to finish in their worst-ever position in the Premier League history by far. Under Ruben Amorim, the Premier League form for the Red Devils has been quite awful, and they are currently in 16th place in the standings with 39 points to their name, just one ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

Rasmus Hojlund has scored just 10 goals in 51 matches this season

Rasmus Hojlund had signed with Manchester United for £72 million in the summer of 2023, labelled as one of the most promising strikers, and he managed to play well in his first season, scoring 16 goals and providing two assists in 43 matches. But, in his second season, when the Red Devils expected him to kick-on, his numbers have gone down quite considerably, scoring just 10 goals and four assists in 51 matches.

Apart from Rasmus Hojlund, the Manchester United hierarchy have reportedly told Alejandro Garnacho to find a new club for himself in the summer transfer window. The departure of these two players among others will help the club generate funds for Ruben Amorim to reshape his team in his style of football next season after a tough start as manager in the first six months in charge.
