Manchester United have reportedly made an improved offer to Brentford in their attempt to sign forward Bryan Mbeumo in the ongoing summer transfer window. It was earlier reported that the Red Devils had made an offer of around £55 million overall package, to secure the services of Cameroon international, but Brentford decided to not accept it despite the fact that the player wants the move to Old Trafford.
As per the latest report on the matter from ESPN, Manchester United have upped their overall package beyond £60 million, which is likely to be accepted by the Bees, especially with their star player Bryan Mbeumo already telling them to not sabotage the move. The English football giants are looking to get the deal done at the earliest under manager Ruben Amorim, to give him and the player the time to settle at the club before the start of the new season.
Bryan Mbeumo scored 20 goals for Brentford in Premier League last season
In the last season of the Premier League, Bryan Mbeumo managed to score 20 goals in the Premier League for Brentford, improving his stocks quite considerably in the world of football. It is understood that Ruben Amorim is quite high on the Cameroon international in regard to him playing in his 3-4-3 system, which he was not able to employ well enough last season, seeing Manchester United finish in 15th place in the Premier League.
While Bryan Mbeumo doesn’t have a release clause in his Brentford contract, it is slated to run out next summer if they don’t add another year to it. Moreover, if Manchester United are able to sign the 25-year-old, he will be partnered with Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha after the Red Devils agreed to trigger the £62.5 million release clause in his Wolves contract.
