Bryan Mbeumo is a Cameroonian international, who plays for the Premier league club Brentford FC as a winger. The 25-year-old signed for Brentford in the year 2019 for a club record fee of £6 million while competing in the championship, and since then, he has been an integral part of Brentford over the years. In his previous season with the Bees, he scored a total of 20 goals and provided nine assists. However, Mbeumo’s future at the club remains uncertain.
According to the latest developments, after constant efforts of trying to sign the Cameroonian forward, Manchester United have once again improved their bid for him in this transfer saga which seems to be never ending. The Red Devils have now made a third bid of £65 million plus £5 million in add-ons after their previous two bids were rejected by the Bees, in order to complete the signing of Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroonian International has made it his priority to join the Red Devils ahead of the transfer window for next season.
Manchester United eager on crossing the line to complete Mbeumo deal: Reports
United will be desperate to get over the line this time as he has remained their priority target for a long time now after they completed the signing of their first and only signing in this transfer window which was Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Cameroonian International still has two years of contract remaining with the Bees but he has decided to part ways with the club as he expresses his interest of wanting to work under Ruben Amorim with the Red Devils next season. However, he continues to train with Brentford ahead of the upcoming season.
Manchester United are looking to offload players like Antony, Rashford, and Sancho in order to manage funds for making crucial signings in this transfer window. United finished in the 15th place on the table last campaign due to which they are not going to participate in any European competitions this season. Amorim believes that Mbeumo could bring a certain flair to the team in their quest for finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Champions league, hence getting this signing over the line is crucial for the Red Devils.
