Following his agreement to engage in a cage match against Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg is now joining forces with two UFC champions in preparation for the potential showdown.  In the days following the UFC 290 event in Las Vegas, Zuckerberg welcomed UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski to his residence in Northern California. The trio wasted no time and hit the gym for training, seemingly taking place in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Israel Adesanya took to social media on Tuesday to share a snapshot of himself alongside Zuckerberg and Volkanovski, documenting their training session. Adesanya's caption praised the competitive spirit of the 39-year-old tech mogul.

Adesanya made it clear that they are taking the endeavor seriously, writing, "No Fugazi with Mark. This is Serious Business!" Zuckerberg expressed his gratitude in the comments section, acknowledging the support of the UFC stars and calling it an “honor” to train with them.

Musk Zuckerberg Bout Likely to Go Ahead

UFC President Dana White is certain that the cage match will happen and has recently stated that both Musk and Zuckerberg are serious about it.  White also expressed his desire to set the match up as a charity fundraising event, as the fight will no doubt draw attention from around the world. Dana White has said that this fight has the potential to be the “biggest fight ever in the history of the world.”

The two tech titans, whose combined net worth sits comfortably in the hundreds of billions, have recently squared off online after Zuckerberg’s Meta announced their Twitter competitor Threads. Musk recently threatened to sue Zuckerberg over the new app and called the Facebook founder a “cuck.”

Musk drew criticism from Twitter users following the limiting of posts viewable per day by users in the latest push to get subscriptions for Twitter verification.
