The KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are on a three-match winning streak after they lost their opening game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) earlier in the IPL 2024. However, in their last fixture, where the KL Rahul-led side hosted the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, April 7, they missed the services of youngster Mayank Yadav after he was forced to walk out of the field with some injury concerns.

After Yadav’s injury, the LSG CEO, Colonel Vinod Bisht opened up on Yadav’s injury. “Mayank felt soreness in lower abdominal area and as a precaution we are managing his workload over next week. We hope to see him soon in the field,” he said in a statement on Monday, April 8. Hearing this, Yadav now remains a doubtful starter in LSG’s next game, where they face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 14.  Check the top betting trends on the  best betting sites in India  and apps

Moreover, several reports also suggest that Mayank Yadav could miss a week of two of IPL 2024. Speaking about his injury, the ultra quick pacer, who usually bowls above 150 kmph could go past 140 kmph in his lone over against GT. Seeing in trouble, he walked off the field in the fourth over of GT inning and did not return for the rest of the night with side strain.

The LSG will next take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in match 26 of IPL 2024 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 12.
