LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers defeated the defending champions, Golden State Warriors on Friday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Game 6 of their Western Conference Semifinals. The Lakers reached the Conference Finals for the first time since their title-winning 2020 season and their star center Anthony Davis has revealed his and LeBron James' target this post-season.

With a dominating 21-point win in Game 6, the Lakers eliminated the Warriors from the playoffs by 4-2 and advanced to the Conference Finals, where they will face Nikola Jokic's Denver Nuggets.

Despite Stephen Curry registering game-high 32 points, the Lakers managed to eliminate the defending champions as LeBron James, who has won record 41 playoff series in NBA,  led the team with 30 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists with 71.4 per cent from the field and made 2-off-3 three-pointers, followed by Anthony Davis, who recorded 17 points, 20 rebounds, two steals and blocks each.

After winning the game, Anthony Davis made himself clear to the fans and revealed the Lakers are aiming to win the championship again. He said, " We want to shock the world." While talking about the Lakers' championship-winning chances, Davis said, "Me and Bron want another one, now it's time to go get it."

LeBron James shows a vintage performance

The all-time NBA's leading scorer, LeBron James displayed a tremendous performance in the Game 6 win against the Warriors. He led the team in scoring, assists, steals, and field goals made and helped the Lakers to eliminate Steph Curry and the Warriors from the playoffs without reaching the Finals for the first time since Steve Kerr became their head coach.

LeBron James registered his first 30-point game of the postseason, which is his most Playoff points since the Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals. Watch James' spectacular Game 6 performance:

LeBron James and Co. will now take on two-time MVP Nikola Jokic and Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Western Conference Finals, starting from Tuesday, May 16 at the Ball Arena.
