Hollywood actor Michael B. Jordan, who is famous for his work in movies like Creed, Black Panther among others, has become a minority shareholder of the Premier League club, Bournemouth on Tuesday. Jordan is the part of a consortium-led by the owner of  NHL team Las Vegas Golden Knights, Bill Foley, who completed  the £150million  takeover of the Cherries.

Apart from owning the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Foley is the chairman of Fidelity National Financial and became the latest entry in a list of American investments in the Premier League joining the investors in clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leeds, West Ham and Manchester City.

The 77-year-old Las Vegas businessman initially finalised Bournemouth's takeover in October as he finished the deal on Tuesday to attend the Cherries' New Year's Eve match against Crystal Palace as the club's new owner, replacing previous owner Maxim Denim.

After the deal, Foley shared a message for the club supporters and stated, "I have tremendous respect for the passion and support the Bournemouth community shows for this club and believe that connection to the community is the foundation for success of any sports team.

"I am committed to work with the best football and business minds available to enhance player development, facilities and the fan experience to put AFC Bournemouth in the best possible position to succeed."

Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan made his first venture in the professional sports ownership after acquiring minority stakes in the Premier League club, Bournemouth. The club was owned by  Swiss-based Russian businessman Maxim Demin for 11 years.
