As soon as it was revealed that Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan had actually spent the previous two nights of the semifinal clash against Australia in Intensive Care, the news spread like a forest fire. Pakistan fans and cricket lovers around the globe hailed Rizwan's passion for the game and were touched by how much playing for his country meant to him.

And it is now being reported that the Pakistan wicketkeeper batter had actually given a signed shirt to the Indian doctor who treated him before the T20 World Cup semifinal fixture at Dubai International Stadium. Dr Saheer Sainalabdeen, who is a specialist pulmonologist at Dubai, was also astonished at the pace of the cricketer's recovery and said that it was his desire to play for his nation that helped him.

Would have normally taken five-seven days for anybody to recover: Dr Sainalabdeen

It is being revealed that when Rizwan was admitted to the hospital he only said, "I want to play. I want to be with the team."

"Rizwan had a strong desire to play for his nation in the crucial knockout match. He was strong, determined, and confident. I am astonished at the pace he had recovered," Dr Sainalabdeen was quoted as saying in Khaleej Times.

"Rizwan had a severe infection. Recovery and gaining fitness before the semi-final seemed unrealistic. It would have normally taken five-seven seven days for anybody to recover," he added.

However, what happened on the night of the semis was out there for the world to see. Rizwan top-scored in the match as he scored 67 from 52 balls and played a key role in helping the Men in Green post a competitive 176/4. It is a different story that the total did not prove to be enough as Australia chased it down with an over to spare, courtesy a brilliant finish from Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis after David Warner's innings had kept them alive in the match.

The result has set up Australia's final with New Zealand and the T20 World Cup is all set to find a new winner.
