With the ongoing five-match Test series against England currently placed 2-1 in favour of the hosts, the two teams will return to action in the fourth Test, scheduled to be played from July 23 onwards at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. While the Men in Blue will hope to level the series in Manchester, taking it finally into the deciding match, which is set to be played from July 31 to August 4 at the Kennington Oval in London.
But before the fourth Test, which commences from Wednesday, July 23, the Men in Blue were encountered with mixed feeling. While there were some signs of worry in the Indian camp with several players struggling with injuries, including Nitish Kumar reddy, Arshdeep Singh, they were jubiliated to train alongside prominent Premier League club - Manchester United.

The Shubman Gill-led Indian cricket team hosted a unique event alongside the Manchester United players in the city. The players from both teams not only exchanged jerseys, but were also seen engaging in friendly drills. In the pictures going viral from the event, which were shared the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI), Indian pacer, Mohammed Siraj was seen throwing down to Harry Maguire.
While Siraj, who shares great interest in football, was seen on a different level alongside the players of United. Later, Maguire took to his Instagram handle, reliving on the moment that Siraj opted to bowl with a tennis ball. “I’m just happy it was a tennis ball,” Maguire wrote on Insta.
Apart from Siraj and Maguire, Rishabh Pant, who is seen playing football on the sidelines of a cricket match, practice session was spotted taking penalty kicks. He was closely watched by the Man Utd skipper, Bruno Fernandes and later went on to to gift a signed bat to the United player.
In the exchange, not only did the players exchange jerseys, the two coaches from either sides also were seen sharing insights. While the Indian team will cherish these moments for long now, but will hope to put it at the back of their mind with the fourth Test just round the corner. On the other hand, United will hope to get started with their training in a proper manner as they play West Ham in a Club Friendly game on Sunday, July 27, before taking on Bournemouth on Thursday, July 31.
