Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Mohammed Siraj was in tears as Gujarat Titans star Shubham Gill completed his century and beat the Bangalore franchise by six wickets. With this win, the Royal Challengers were also eliminated from the playoff race in IPL 2023.

After posting 197 runs in the first innings, Bangalore got off to a great start after dismissing GT opener Wriddhiman Saha at a score of 12. But despite the early wicket, the Titans still managed to get on the top with a stellar batting effort by  Shubham Gill and Vijay Shankar, who posted a 123-run partnership.

Then after  Shankar's wicket, RCB seeming managed to dismiss David Miller quickly but a roaring  Shubham Gill continued scoring. In the final over with 8 required, Wayne Parnell conceded a no-ball and wide before Gill smashed his eighth six to complete his 2nd IPL century and beat Royal Challengers Bangalore. Reacting to this final six, Mohammed Siraj went straight to the ground as he was in tears after being eliminated from the tournament.
