In the era of T20 cricket, we see batters hitting big shots in almost every over of the game and guide their team to a big total. However, in the T20 format or the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is mostly dominated by the batters, there are also some great bowlers who have made their name with their match-winning spell throughout the years.
Talking about the IPL, the batters look to score big and get maximum runs in a single over. However, in the era of aggressive scoring, there are also some bowlers who have mastered the art of conceding minimum runs in an over and have also bowled so many maiden overs in their IPL career so far.
Veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is among the best bowlers in the IPL history and is also known for his tight bowling in the starting overs and death overs. Bhuvneshwar also shares the top spot along with fast bowler Praveen Kumar to bowl the most number of maiden overs in the history of the cash-rich league. Both Bhuvneshwar and Praveen have bowled 14 maiden overs each in the IPL.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has played 176 matches in his IPL career so far taking 181 scalps while Praveen Kumar has taken 90 wickets from 119 matches in the cash-rich league. New Zealand pacer Trent Boult is the third player in the list to bowl the most number of maiden overs in the IPL. The left-arm pacer has bowled 11 maiden overs in his IPL career so far.
