During a podcast show, Jaya Chahar, the wife of Deepak Chahar, revealed that MS Dhoni, the former captain of Chennai Super Kings, calls her husband “Katrina Kaif” of the team. Jaya Chahar made an appearance on the “Couple Of Things” podcast show on YouTube, hosted by Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol, alongside her husband where she spilled the beans.
Deepak Chahar, the Indian fast bowler, had proposed to Jaya Chahar during the 2021 season of the IPL in October, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and she had said yes in front of the fans. Just a few months later, the couple tied the knot in June 2022, in front of their family and friends in Agra.
A video has gone viral from the “Couple Of Things” podcast show, which premiered on March 31 of this year, wherein Jaya Chahar was spotted asking her husband about whether she could share the MS Dhoni joke with everyone. Although Deepak Chahar didn’t seem quite keen on it initially, he played along like his wife wanted, leading to her remark that MS Dhoni calls her husband Katrina Kaif of Chennai Super Kings.
Moreover, after an injury-prone season last year, Deepak Chahar had a reasonable start with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2024, picking up four wickets in four matches, but his strike rate is in the 30s, while the economy is more than nine runs per over. But, in the previous match for CSK at home against KKR, he missed being a part of their playing XI due to a niggle.
