Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has included into the Hall of Fame by International Cricket Council (ICC) during an event in London on Monday, June 9. He is one of the newly added members in the Hall of Fame along with Hashim Amla (South Africa), Daniel Vettori (New Zealand), Graeme Smith (South Africa), and Matthew Hayden. Apart from that, MS Dhoni is now the 11th Indian player to get inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame after Bishan Singh, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Vinoo Mankad, Diana Edulji, Virender Sehwag, and Neetu David.
MS Dhoni had a memorable international career from 2004 to 2019. He has been one of the most successful Indian captains leading Men in Blue to three ICC titles including the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He has played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is in his international career amassing 17266 across the formats. He announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020.

MS Dhoni also reacted on getting inducted into the Hall of Fame of ICC and felt proud to share the honour with the legends of the game. Total 115 players have been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame over the years.
“It is an honour to be named in the ICC Hall of Fame, which recognises the contributions of cricketers across generations and from all over the world. To have your name remembered alongside such all-time greats is a wonderful feeling. It is something that I will cherish forever,” Dhoni told ICC.
