Yuvraj Singh’s father and former cricketer Yograj Singh recently praised former Indian captain MS Dhoni for his fearlessness and ability to lead. In the past, Yograj has made several controversial statements regarding Dhoni, and also alleged the wicket-keeper batter for destroying his son Yuvraj’s cricketing career. Apart from that, Yograj also made headlines in the past by alleging that Dhoni deliberately made India lose in the semi-final of the 2019 ODI World Cup.

However, in his recent interview on Unfiltered by Samdish, Yograj Singh came up with a completely different perspective for MS Dhoni, and called him a fearless captain. “According to me, MS Dhoni is a motivating captain who can always tell people what to do. The best thing about him was he would say "idhar dal, udhar dal". He could read the game very well. The best thing about him, which I like is that he is an extremely fearless man. If you remember, in Australia he was hit on the grill by a delivery off Mitchell Johnson. He stood his ground and the very next ball, he hit it for a towering six,” Yograj was quoted as saying by Republic World.

Went to Kapil Dev’s house with pistol: Yograj Singh makes shocking revelation of his banter with 1983 World Cup-winning captain

In his interview, Yograj Singh also made a shocking revelation wherein he went to former Indian skipper Kapil Dev’s house with a gun after getting dropped from the Indian team. Yograj revealed that he threatened and abused Kapil in front of his mother. Yograj also said that from this moment he decided that he will not play cricket.

“When Kapil Dev became captain of India, North Zone, and Haryana, he dropped me for no reason. My wife wanted me to ask Kapil questions. I told her that I would teach this bloody man a lesson. I took my pistol out, I went to Kapil’s house in Sector 9. He came out with his mother. I abused him a dozen times. I told him because of you I have lost a friend and what you have done, you will pay for it. I told him, ‘I want to put a bullet through your head, but I am not doing it because you have a very pious mother, who is standing here,” Yograj Singh said as quoted in Hindustan Times.

“I told Shabnam, ‘Let’s go.’ That was the moment I decided I would not play cricket, Yuvi will play," he further said.
