Mahendra Singh Dhoni is regarded as one of the most successful captains in the history of cricket. Be it international stage or franchise cricket, MS has stamped its authority as a captain due to which he enjoys massive admiration amongst cricket fraternity including the current crop of players in Indian cricket.

The 41-year-old wicketkeeper has been leading Chennai Super Kings ever since the start of the IPL and has tasted triumphs on four occasions. Dhoni has been termed as the synonymous of the franchise and even CSK CEO had admitted the fact that Chennai Super Kings means MS Dhoni.

In a fresh development, Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that the legendary skipper will continue to lead the franchise in IPL 2023. According to OneIndia News, CSK CEO has confirmed that management has full faith in Dhoni, and he will continue to lead the side.

The Chennai franchise came to the 15th edition as defending champion and made an unsuccessful attempt of finding the successor of Dhoni in the form of Ravindra Jadeja. Ravindra Jadeja was appointed skipper of the team a day before the season opener, but he failed miserably as the franchise suffered back-to-back losses in the league stage. The all-rounder then shockingly stepped down from the captaincy and handed it back to MS Dhoni. However, that didn't change the fortune of the franchise in the season as they finished ninth on points table.

The sudden turn of events sparked rumour about rift between Ravindra Jadeja and franchise. The Indian cricketer recently deleted all CSK-posts from his Instagram and hinted towards parting ways from the franchise ahead of IPL 2023.
