In match number 62 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, May 20. Moreover, fans will be hoping to see MS Dhoni’s last few appearances in the cash-rich league this season with his future still unpredictable. With CSK set to play two more matches in IPL 2025 as they have been eliminated from the season, head coach Stephen Fleming was once again questioned about MS Dhoni’s future.

I don’t know: Stephen Fleming remains tight-lipped on MS Dhoni’s future

When inquired about MS Dhoni’s future in IPL 2025, Fleming quickly replied, “I don’t know.” It seemed that he dodged the question with uncertainty looming over MS Dhoni’s future with age by his side. It is to be noted that earlier in the tournament, MS Dhoni addressed speculations of his retirement, while adding that he hasn’t made a decision.

Nothing for me to decide as of now," Dhoni said while acknowledging that fans have been turning up in large numbers across India, unsure whether they're witnessing his final appearances.

Speaking of MS Dhoni’s number this season, the stalwart has only scored 180 runs from 12 innings at an average of 25.71 and a strike rate of 140.62. His top score of 30* came against Gujarat Titans on March 31.
