MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will eye to finish on top as they redeem themselves from their last season performance. Eyeing a comeback after a dismal season in 2022, the Dhoni-led side is already through to the Playoffs and will square off against defending champions Gujarat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 23 (Tuesday).

Ahead of this important clash which will see the winner seal a final berth and the loser getting another chance, the four-time champion is seen practicing hard. On the eve of the Qualifier 1, skipper MS Dhoni was also seen unleashing some powerful hits and massive sixes at the Chepauk. The former Indian cricketer was seen hitting some impressive maximums during his side’s matches in the ongoing edition of the IPL.

 

Just hours prior to the all-important clash, the Chennai-based franchise shared a video where MS Dhoni could be seen hitting some fine shots. Video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.

 

In another video which the franchise shared, as Dhoni hit a maximum both Moeen Ali and Devon Conway can be seen tracking the ball in awe as it crosses the boundary. In another video, the New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter hailed the legend MS Dhoni as the ‘King’.

The Dhoni-led side finished second in the points table with eight wins from 14 matches, with one No Result game and five losses. It is to be noted that out of eight wins, five of them came at their home ground in Chepauk. While Gujarat Titans finished first with ten wins, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians secured the third and fourth place respectively to complete the top four.
