The IPL 2023 auction has already given us multiple surprises with record-breaking numbers seen in the first half-an-hour of the event. One such surprise was Indian uncapped bowler, Mukesh Kumar. The Bihar-born pacer was picked up by the Delhi Capitals for a hefty sum of INR 5 Crore.

The pacer was in top demand as teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and the Delhi Capitals started a bidding war. But in the end, the Capitals acquired his services. Kumar will now bolster the already strong Delhi bowling attack with the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje in their pace battery.
