Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Friday (March 10)   unveiled their new jersey ahead of the start of the 16th edition of the tournament. As the first game of the IPL 2023 is just days away, the Rohit Sharma-led side revealed their “redesigned” jersey.

 

The renewed jersey features the Arabian Sea symbolising the calm among the chaos in the waters of the sea. It also has the historic heritage structure, the Getaway of India with the gold lines symbolising the euphoria of streets. The wheels of the city and the sea link also star in the new jersey, aiming for endless ambitions in the Mumbai Indians camp.

Notably, the Rohit Sharma -led team will kick off its campaign in IPL 2023 with a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2 in an away fixture at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. They will aim to turn their last season performance and get back to winning ways with a new-look squad with key performers in their ranks.
