While a lot was being said about the current Indian team and its ability to bounce back from adversities and win matches, the Virat Kohli-led side did exactly at the Lord's Test. Team India registered a 151-run win over the Three Lions in the second Test match, on Day 5 morning of which they looked on the back foot. However, with their backs against the wall, India managed a stupendous effort and registered a win eventually.

Not only did Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami fired with the bat for India but they later contributed with the ball as the team bowled out England for 120 in under 52 overs. Former India opener Wasim Jaffer, who is known for his memes and posts on social media, came up with series of posts after the historic win.

Jaffer tweeted a scene from the movie "In pursuit of happiness" after India’s victory at Lord's on Monday.

He later referred to Independence Day and warned not to mess with Indians, “If 15th August has taught anything to the British, it is to never mess with Indians after 15th August,” Jaffer tweeted.

In another social media comment after that, Jaffer borrowed a quote from Sachin Tendulkar to appreciate KL Rahul's century in the test match. "To borrow a quote from @sachin_rt, “People throw stones, you turn them into milestones”. This is a milestone victory, congratulations @imVkohli and Team India," he tweeted.

“KL Rahul: “If you go after one of our guys all eleven will come right back!” The wolf is the strength of the pack. The pack is the strength of the wolf. And this pack of wolves did some glorious hunting today,” wrote Jaffer in yet another one of his post.

Bit of tension on the field really motivated us: Virat Kohli

Speaking at the post-match press conference, India captain Virat Kohli said that the on-field banter between the players of both the teams actually inspired them to put on a spirited show and push for the result on Day 5.

"The way we played in the second innings after being put under pressure – Jasprit and Shami were outstanding. We had the belief we can get them out in 60 overs. A bit of tension on the field really motivated us to finish the game," Kohli said.
