In the recap of the AFC Championship 2024 summit game, the  Ka nsas City Chiefs  are all set to take on the  Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL) 2024 season on September 5, 2024. Lamar Jackson’s Ravens were taken to the cleaners by the  Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas in the NFL Conference Championship final by 10-17, earlier this year in January.

The 105th season of the world’s richest league will begin on September 5 and the regular season will conclude on January 11, 2025. Following that, the playoffs are scheduled on January 11 and will end with Super Bowl LIX, the championship game on February 9, 2025.

Ravens to take on Chiefs in NFL season opener on Sept 5

The Preseason training camps are scheduled to open on July 24 and the preseason will begin on August 1 with a Pro Football Hall of Fame match between Chicago and Houston. The regular season, which will be played for over 18 weeks will see 32 teams playing 17 games, one game in a week. 

Kansas City Chiefs are also the defending champions of the prestigious league where they lifted the coveted trophy in 2023 by thrashing Philadelphia Eagles by 38-35. Their superstar Patrick Mahomes led the way in the summit game as he pulled out one of the most magical performances when the Chiefs were desperately in need of a Super Bowl comeback.
