Royal Challengers Bengaluru are just a win away from almost confirming their place in the playoffs of IPL 2025 and are set to take on Chennai Super Kings in match number 52 of season at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 3. Ahead of the much-awaited clash, RCB batter Devdutt Padikkal said that the team won’t be treating CSK any differently and will back their preparations against them.

As RCB have been on a winning run from the last three game, the things have been completely different for the five-time champions CSK this year as they become the first side to get eliminated from the playoffs race in IPL 2025. CSK are placed at the bottom of the table with just two wins and eight losses so far.

“We have played some really good cricket throughout the season, and there is no need to treat any game any differently. So, as long as we have done our preparations well and are completely focused on the game, I think we should be fine," Devdutt Padikkal in the press conference ahead of game against CSK.

RCB aim to claim the top spot with win against CSK

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are currently place at the third spot in the points table with seven wins and three losses in IPL 2025 so far. They have some number of wins as the table-topper Mumbai Indians and second place Gujarat Titans but are in third spot due to difference in net run rate.

Now, with a win against CSK at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB will not only aim to reclaim the top spot, but also almost confirm their place in the playoffs. After the clash against CSK, RCB are scheduled to take on Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in their last three matches of IPL respectively.
